Since Young Son was, well, young, he has had a penchant for mixing a little something up in the kitchen and having the rest of us try it. Sometimes I look askance at some of his combinations, but I’m usually pleasantly surprised by the tastes he serves up.

This evening, he wanted me to try a piece of ham, the thin-sliced sandwich variety, spread with honey. His reasoning was that the ham was already honey ham, so what might happen with a little extra honey added? I was a little hesitant, but let me tell you, it was a winning combination. The perfect mix of sweet and salty. Give it a go. You won’t regret it.
