Hubby has taken on an enormous project as part of his college degree. He’s majoring in sociology and had to come up with a leadership project last semester for one of his classes. He chose to create a community garden to benefit the local food shelf. This project has now turned into an internship that will earn him the final credits he needs toward his degree.
Because establishing and maintaining a community garden is a huge undertaking, we all (me, Eldest Son, Daughter, and Young Son) have been pitching in where needed in order to help Hubby make it a success. We planted seeds last Saturday and I’ve been assisting in writing blog posts. Yes! This garden, called The Soul Patch, has its own blog.
If you’re a local reader, we could use some help planting tomatoes and green peppers this coming Tuesday evening (tomorrow) at 6:00 p.m.
