Hubby has been taking a nostalgic tour of the 1980s music scene on YouTube this evening.  It started with Deadeye Dick’s “New Age Girl” (a.k.a. Mary Moon), progressed through Icicle Works, Echo & The Bunnymen, and The Cult, and on to a surprising Frankensteining of the Talent Pool: Depeche Mode (love ’em, love ’em, love ’em) and Linkin Park.  The two bands did a remake of Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence.” On YouTube, the remake is set to Depeche Mode’s original video for the song.  As Hubby said upon listening, “I never would have thought to put these bands together, but now that they’ve done this, the pairing seems so obvious.”

[Great. Now Hubby has me taking a tour of the 1980s music scene. Like it’s such torture.]
