There’s something irresistible about a good stroganoff.  I attribute it to the mouth-feel of the sour cream and the blend of the sour cream with beef and onions.

Hubby and I created a quick & dirty stroganoff recipe that takes very little time to whip up.

Quick & Dirty Stroganoff

1 eight-ounce container of fresh, sliced mushrooms (get ‘em sliced in order to cut down on the prep)

1 pound ground hamburger

1 twenty-four-ounce container of sour cream

1 packet of onion soup mix

Cooked noodles (thick, flat noodles make a nice base)

Saute the mushrooms in a little oil. Add the hamburger and crumble fry it till brown. Mix in the sour cream and onion soup mix. Add a little pepper to taste. Serve over cooked noodles.

Voila! Stroganoff! It’s divine. (Try to stop at one serving. I dare you.)

As for the “Quick & Dirty” name, would you have been as tempted to read this if I’d called it “Quick Stroganoff”? I rest my case.
