blue raspberry, blue raspberry hearts missing from bag of sweethearts, sweethearts candy, tweet me sweetheart, valentine's day
We’re approaching Valentine’s Day and that can mean only one thing: Sweethearts candies. I picked up a bag while grocery shopping, brought it home and promptly emptied it into a candy dish. Then I looked at the packaging. Have a look-see and see if you can see what I saw.
Do you see it? Huh? Huh? Huh?
If not, here’s another clue:
Look back at that candy dish. Do you see any blue raspberry hearts in it? Yeah. Neither did I. My Sweethearts done cheated me. And I was so looking forward to the blue raspberry flavor. See, this year the flavor of Sweethearts seems to be enhanced over the flavors of yesteryear, so a blue raspberry Sweetheart would’ve been the bomb.
Do you think the blue raspberry heart maker was broken the day my bag was filled?
On a happy note, I did get a heart with this year’s brand new message:

What a gyp! If you write a letter to the company, you’ll probably get all kinds of coupons for free bags
I love letter writing for that very reason.
I’m personally a big fan of the white ones. I don’t know what the flavour is supposed to be, but it’s my favourite, and I didn’t see THOSE in your bowl either! You’ve been double gypped.
Hi, Corpus Christie – I can’t say I’ve been double gypped because the bag didn’t show white Sweethearts. Incidentally, I bought a second bag and that one didn’t have an blue ones either. Shocking! Hubby suggested I check the lot numbers on both bags and they matched. While I was buying my second bag, I also picked up a bag of the large Sweethearts. Surprise! It had blue ones. Yay!
Totally ripped off!
Corpus Christie is probably right about the letter writing.
I once bit into a piece of wood in a Cadbury chocolate bar.
Cadbury sent me enough chocolate to last three months!
Oh, Allan, wood in a Cadbury chocolate bar is not nice, not nice at all. Cool that they made good on your experience, though.
Do you think I need to have the uneaten Sweethearts and the empty bags to make a claim, or will my blog post suffice? See, we’ve eaten most of the hearts and I threw the bags away after photographing them.
Looks like I’m not on the same page Mary. I thought you meant the hearts were all colors. I thought Valentines Day candy was pink/red. Guess I’m living in the past.
