… glasses?
Um, yeah.

Before: Old Glasses

After: New Glasses
When I change my glasses or my hair, I like to keep quiet about it and see how long it takes for people to notice. With both of my coworkers, one yesterday and one today, we were in mid-conversation when they suddenly stopped and said, “Did you get new glasses?” Makes me wonder how long they’d been trying to figure out what was different about me.
When Daughter saw my new specs, she said they made me look artistic or writerly or, at the very least, elven. I can live with that.
Do you ever change your appearance, not tell anyone, and wait for the comments to come?

Oh I like them! They do have a flare that makes them seem like glasses for a creative person. I love fun glasses. Mine have little spirals on them.

Thanks for the compliments, Joanne and Angelia. I don’t remember glasses being quite this much fun when I was a kid. So many great frames to pick from now – and not as huge and heavy as they used to be.

They’re kinda like a twisted mullet……business in the front….party on the sides. I like ‘em.
